Dunbar Wallace Fire Protection Ltd is proud to announce we have been selected to become a licensed and approved installer of Promat DURASTEEL®

We are approved to supply and install Promat DURASTEEL® Barrier systems along with other associated Promat DURASTEEL® fire rated applications within the Commercial, Industrial, Nuclear Power and Infrastructure Sectors

Dunbar Wallace Fire Protection Ltd are capable of utilising Promat DURASTEEL® in the following applications:

1. Fire Barriers
2. Compartment Walls, and High Impact Wall’s
3. Blast Resistance Walls and Ceilings.
4. Fire/Security Rated Doorset’s.

In addition to prior power station experience, DWFPL has expanded its expertise into Power Distribution through providing fire and blast protection to Transformer Substations and Landlord Distribution systems in Commercial Development and Refurbishment projects

Durasteel-based fire and blast protection systems have been specified for Network Operator substation upgrades as well as for major new buildings and redevelopments.  Clients include UKPN and EDF Energy, as well as main contractors such as J Murphy & Son, Freedom and Clancy Docwra.  Recent projects have included Kings Gate, Aldwych Tunnel refurbishment and The Shard.

What is Durasteel?

Promat DURASTEEL® is a non-combustible composite panel of fibre reinforced cement, mechanically bonded to punched steel sheets on both surfaces.

Promat DURASTEEL® has been developed and supported through rigorous testing for use in partitioning, ducting, door and ceiling applications, with a wide range of specifications available.

Promat DURASTEEL® systems combine lightness, strength, impact resistance and durability with exceptional fire resistance.

These systems remain resistant to firefighters’ hoses, leaving them capable of performing their original function even in the aftermath of a fire. Promat DURASTEEL® systems have been used successfully for many years, including rail and metro projects, military developments and in commercial, pharmaceutical and petrochemical facilities.
